Pete bought his first investment property over 10 years ago - and since then, has dealt with multiple property rehab projects. Julie has always had an interest in real estate, and after her first son was born, she wanted to find a career path that was flexible but also allowed her room to grow and build her business. Pete and Julie use the Zillow Premier Agent program for lead generation and ongoing agent advertising. By investing in target zip codes, the pair regularly generates a good number of buyer and seller leads. As they realized how many new leads were coming into their pipeline, efficient lead management, quick follow-up and intelligent nurturing quickly became a major focus. That's when Pete and Julie heard about Zurple. After doing a little research, they realized that it was the perfect complement to their Zillow marketing program.
An Organized Team Approach Generates Thriving Referral Business
In addition to new leads that come in through Zillow and are nurtured through Conversations™, Pete and Julie have built a thriving referral business model. Both agents make an effort to stay in touch with their existing customer base, and because of that, no door knocking, cold calling or postcards are necessary to drum up new leads. A good percentage of their business comes through referrals. Each of their existing clients is assigned a category: A, B or C based on the sales volume. Then they send nurturing messaging that is relevant to that particular group of past clients.
Furthermore, Pete and Julie regularly organize customer appreciation events - things like renting out a movie theater for a movie premier, organizing a farmer’s market or hosting a pumpkin patch outing. Doing so has created a steady stream of repeat and referral business that will continue to pay dividends for years to come.
